[Update: For the commenter who asked, I get my hair cut by the fine people at Shampoo Hair Bar in Victoria.]
This is not. And considering you can find almost anything through these inter-webs, why is there still not a single decent site dedicated to men's hairstyles? Do men not need one?
I think men clearly do.
Josh...this is your hair...do you know what I'm doing? Hehehe...
For years I've struggled with my hair. The wheels came off the bus so to speak when my tried and true bowl cut could no longer hack it. The thing is, if you're a tall, beautiful woman, you can make the bowl cut work well into your thirties. But if you're a squat Chinese kid, the bowl cut is not your friend.
The bowl cut and I, when we were friends.
High school was a disaster. Two years with a baseball cap AND spray gel. Together. (I'll let that sink in.) University saw me flirting with long hair (1994), messed up hair (1995), long hair again (1996-2002, intermittent). I tried the faux-hawk. I tried no hair. I tried, god help me, a sort of assymetrical spiky thing.
So now I'm 33 and realizing that I can't be bothered with hairstyles anymore. I can't even name a celebrity who has hair that I like. What I want is hair that needs a comb, that can be combed back into position, and that doesn't require anything more than a good cut and a bit of pomade. Yes - I've gone trad.
The day after. How do you know you have a good haircut? It doesn't change in a week.
And here, for no reason other than that I took the photo, is me in a tuxedo jacket. I really need to get more of these.
