Contest Guidelines, Presented as a FAQ
What will the tasks be?
The tasks will be revealed one at a time. You will then have a certain amount of time to complete them and present them in whatever way you think is appropriate. Speaking of time, isn't it about time someone other than Thom Browne was recognized for menswear?
Do I need to have a blog to enter?
No. As will be seen, the tasks can be fulfilled in a variety of ways. That can be, but is by no means limited to, a blog post. It could also be a video, a photo essay, a short play, a series of haiku, or a stuffed avocado.
What is the prize if I win?
Something totally awesome. Actually each task will have a prize, and the total contest has another prize. That's like, more than one prize!
Should I enter?
Yes. Everyone should enter. And I mean, everyone. There is absolutely no reason why everyone shouldn't enter. In fact, it would be really sad if the contest had to be canceled because not enough people entered. Really sad - for me.
I don't think I'm going to enter. I'm just going to sit here and not do it. Yeah, that's the best.
While not technically a question I feel I have to respond to this. YOU SHOULD ENTER.
How do I enter?
Simply leave a comment on this post. You don't need to, and absolutely shouldn't, leave any personal information, but you do need to be identifiable so that your entries can be attributed to you. In plain English - have a name of some kind.
Why are you doing this? Are you some kind of weirdo? Is that it, weirdo?
Is it weird to want to hold contests and bring people together in the healthy spirit of competition? Is it weird to recognize my own good fortune and want to share that with other people? Is it weird to make videos to facilitate all of that? Well if that's weird, my friend, then yes, I am weird. Pffffffft.
Please tell everyone you know about this and encourage them to join. The first task, pending response, will be up next week.
